Small weddings are a big trend. Even big name celebrities like Keira Knightley are opting for intimate weddings. A small wedding has its own particular entertainment requirements, though.
Many couples opt for a smaller wedding so that they can reduce the stress — and cost — of their big day. However, this doesn’t mean that you can skimp on elements like entertainment. Whether you have 25 guests or 250 guests, you can’t just plug an iPod into some speakers and hope for the best.
A good wedding DJ is responsive to the crowd, whatever the size. This means that they can get the party going, and know when it’s time to throw in a slow song. This can be even more important for small weddings. With fewer guests, the atmosphere can be much more fluid. (If half of a big wedding are sitting a song out, it’s a lot less noticeable than when half a small wedding sit one out!)
